1. Introductions, apologies and substitutions
1.1 The Chair welcomed everybody to the meeting. Apologies were received from Lynne Neagle and Keith Davies.
2. Scrutiny of Estyn's Annual Report 2010-11
2.1 The Chair welcomed the witness. Members questioned the witness on the Estyn Annual Report 2010-11. Due to time constraints, a number of questions were not reached and it was agreed that the Clerk would write to the Chief Inspector asking for her response to these issues.
Action Point:
The Chief Inspector agreed to prepare a summary on a number of report conclusions relating to gender gap and forward to the Committee Chair.
3. Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for the following business and for the meeting on 25 April
3.1 Members agreed the motion to exclude the public for the remainder of the business and for the meeting on 25 April.
4. Estyn Annual Report: Consideration of further action
4.1 Members agreed that they would publish a report on the annual report but noted that this would be prepared during the summer term once the additional information had been received and considered from Estyn.
5. Implementation of the Learning and Skills (Wales) Measure 2009: Consideration of the final report
5.1 The Report was agreed.
6. Inquiry into adoption: Consideration of witnesses
6.1 Subject to a few minor amendments, Members agreed the paper.
